What services do you offer?
New Beginnings Imaging offers elective pregnancy, medical pregnancy, breast screening, and diagnostic ultrasound services throughout North Dakota.
Where do appointments take place?
Appointments are available in your home, at our Minot location, and throughout North Dakota. Travel fees apply based on your location.
Who performs my ultrasound?
All ultrasounds are performed by a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS, RVT) licensed by the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board.
How do I prepare for my ultrasound?
Preparation varies depending on the type of ultrasound. Any special instructions will be provided before your appointment.
Do you accept insurance?
No. New Beginnings Imaging does not bill insurance. Upon request, we can provide a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Can I use my HSA or FSA?
Medically necessary ultrasounds ordered by your provider may be eligible for HSA or FSA reimbursement. A receipt is available upon request.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, and Venmo.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Gift certificates are available. Please contact us to purchase one.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. A cancellation fee applies to appointments requiring travel that are canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice.
Medical Ultrasounds
Do I need a provider order?
Elective pregnancy ultrasounds do not require a provider order. Medical pregnancy, breast screening, and diagnostic ultrasounds require an order from your healthcare provider. Provider orders can be emailed to newbeginningsimaging@gmail.com or faxed to 1-901-677-1758.
Who reads my ultrasound?
Medical pregnancy, breast screening, and diagnostic ultrasounds are interpreted by a board-certified radiologist.
When will my results be available?
Radiologist reports are typically available within 5–6 business days and sent to the healthcare provider who ordered your ultrasound.
Pregnancy Ultrasounds
What is the difference between an elective and medical pregnancy ultrasound?
An elective ultrasound is for bonding and keepsake purposes and does not require a provider order. A medical pregnancy ultrasound is ordered by your healthcare provider and interpreted by a radiologist.
When is the best time for a first trimester ultrasound?
We recommend scheduling your first trimester ultrasound around 7 weeks of pregnancy.
When can I find out my baby’s gender?
Gender can be determined as early as 6 weeks with SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Testing or beginning at 13 weeks by ultrasound.
When is the best time for a 3D/4D ultrasound?
3D/4D ultrasounds can be performed anytime after 10 weeks of pregnancy. While 26 to 29 weeks often provides the best facial images, every stage of pregnancy offers something unique to see.
What’s included with my ultrasound?
You’ll receive digital images through our secure sharing app and printed photos. We take our time, answer your questions, and never rush your appointment.
Can someone watch my ultrasound remotely?
Yes! A private livestream is available so family and friends can watch your ultrasound from anywhere.
How can I improve image quality?
We recommend staying well hydrated throughout your pregnancy to help improve image quality.
What if my baby doesn’t cooperate?
Every baby is different, and their position can affect the images we’re able to capture. We’ll take our time and do our best to get great images during your appointment.
Is there a best time to see the baby move?
No, every baby is different. Eating prior to your ultrasound will help keep the baby active.
SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Testing
What is SneakPeek Early Gender DNA Testing?
SneakPeek is a DNA blood test that can determine your baby’s gender as early as 6 weeks with over 99% accuracy.
When should I schedule my SneakPeek test?
SneakPeek can be performed as early as 6 weeks, but we recommend scheduling closer to 7 weeks to help confirm you’re far enough along for testing. An ultrasound is recommended to confirm your dates.
What can I expect during the test?
The test takes about 15 minutes and is painless. The collection system is fully enclosed, so you won’t see any needles. Results are typically available within 2–3 business days.
